I watched most of the 78th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee yesterday.
Thirteen year old Anurag Kashyap of California won the event correctly spelling A-P-P-O-G-G-I-A-T-U-R-A, a melodic tone.
My favorite was second place finisher, Samir Patel, age 11. Samir placed third in last year’s competition. He’s my pick to win next year.
