Power to the people!

Wednesday, July 20th, 2005

While they still plan on opening another store in the Sahuarita area, the Walgreens Drug Store at Esperanza Boulevard and La Canada will remain open.
At least for now!
It’s handy for us who live in the area and I applaud […]

Wish you were here

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

…big sky, rushing, noisy streams and waterfalls, scented, moist pine forests, back stroking sea otters, breaching whales, mile high rock carved walls, moose and calves in the driveway and sundown at 11:30 PM, all make for a great Northern adventure.

We wish we were there too!

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

We sent out our crack photographer this afternoon to drive up Madera Canyon as far as allowable. “Get a good shot,” I told myself.
We got to get some rain!
If you want to see another picture of the fire today…

This was the view from our patio yesterday morning. The white spec atop the mountain in the lower center of the pic is the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory.

It started raining…

Wednesday, July 13th, 2005

…at 4:52 PM!
It stopped at 4:53 PM.
Morning low in Tucson was 89° and there is rain to the South. It’s been 30 consecutive days with temps above 100°.
Maybe the monsoon will start soon.
