Dream of vacations in the countryside

If it’s your first time in Vietnam, your trip would not be complete without exploring the vibrant and historic metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. As Vietnam’s largest city, it offers a typically Vietnamese experience – bustling with noisy traffic, unique shops, street markets, and throngs and throngs of people. An amalgamation of old and new, you will witness the poor co-existing with the rich, reflected by the crumbling houses sitting side by side with contemporary towering skyscrapers.

With everything Ho Chi Minh City and the rest of Vietnam has to offer, one of the last things you might think to do is visit a golf course. But, as you will discover, there is more to this country than meets the eye. The nearby area is bustling with some fantastic golf courses which benefit from the region’s expansive lush landscapes, glorious sunny weather and excellent value for money. So why not combine your Vietnamese experience with a relaxing golf break – you will be sure to receive a warm welcome…!
The most accessible golf resort to Ho Chi Minh City is the Vietnam Golf and Country Club, just 20 kilometres away. Boasting 300 hectares of land and two esteemed courses, it is no surprise that it has been hailed as THE premier golf and country club in Vietnam. The West Course has played host to the Vietnam Open and offers players a challenging round of golf with excellent putting surfaces all year round. The East Course boasts more generous fairways, which are protected by a number of water hazards and bunkers, and scenic undulating lawns.
To the north of Ho Chi Minh City also lies the Song Be Golf Resort, a newer venue which lays claim to being Vietnam’s first International Standard Championship Golf Course. This eighteen hole course provides a more challenging experience for the established golfer, and the luxurious layout features glistening lakes, verdant lawns and a plethora of facilities such as tennis courts and excellent restaurants, to ensure a memorable stay.
If you’re venturing out of Vietnam, nearby Thailand also has its pick of top notch golf resorts. Our favourites include the world renowned St Andrews 2000 Golf Club near Pattaya, and the luscious Lakewood Country Club near Bangkok. Both resorts offer guests true Asian hospitality as well as an unforgettable golfing experience.
