Beware of Recent Phishing Scam
Two friends have received emails recently about their accounts at Chase Bank. Here is what one person wrote me.
Bank One is changing into Chase Bank. This is going to change the online banking somewhat. I have been getting several e-mails warning me that this is going to happen and I need to answer questions to a survey telling them my account number and social security number. When I simply deleted many messages, I then got one that said since I had not responded, my bank account was going to be deleted very soon. So I ran off copies and took them to the bank. Sure enough they had recieved 6 other emails from other customers. All frauds.

And this from another friend…
My old email address got involved with a “fishing” fraud promotion. Luckily, my bank (Chase) caught it before and damage was done. I was advised to change my email address, user name, password, etc…
