Bus Service, Tucson - Green Valley

We can get some people out of their cars, people who probably shouldn’t be driving anymore.

Long-sought bus service between Tucson and the Green Valley - Sahuarita area will start Monday.

For a community such as Green Valley, with its largely retiree population, the service will allow greater freedom to people with health issues and to those who simply may wish to leave the family car in the driveway.

Service to and from Tucson on Interstate 19 will run from 5:30 to 8:30 a.m. and from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost will be $2 one-way.

Connector service will begin at the Laos Transit Center in Tucson, run south on I-19 to Sahuarita and Green Valley employment centers, turn around at La Posada on Continental Road in Green Valley and return north on Old Nogales Highway.
