Hamburger Night a Big Hit!
Our neighborhood started something last night that was more successful than anyone imagined. Tuesday Hamburger Night. No reservations; just show up with $3 and your favorite beverage, or buy one for $1 more, and sit with friends and enjoy a freshly grilled burger with everything, chips and pickle spear.
Comments I heard were all positive and everyone I talked to wanted to see this event continue on a regular basis. In chatting a bit with Sam, the burger chef, the turnout exceeded everyone’s expectations. It was a lot of work for those who volunteered, and they all deserve a huge “Thank You!”
Maybe the most impressive thing was no standing in line; servers came to your table and took your order. Nice touch!

I spoke with Sam Barnard today. He was the cook at the hamburger nite festivities. He told me they had prepared 157 hamburgers! Just amazing! The committee members just ran themselves ragged, taking care of all the attendees. Our hats are off to them!!
The Hospitality Committee, just 3 years ago, use to plan for maybe 35 people at a gathering. Now, its over 100.
So nice to see so many friends and neighbors get together. Our subdivision is getting to be a very social community, which is so nice to see.
