Ike’s Farmers Market; new Bashas’ store coming eventually to Tucson

The Bashas’ Family of Stores includes four distinct formats: Bashas’, Bashas’ Dine on Indian reservations, AJ’s Fine Foods, and Food City, which caters to the Hispanic market.

A new brand, Ike’s Farmer’s Market, is scheduled to open in July in central Phoenix at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. It will feature a huge variety of produce and will emphasize perishables, nutrition and healthful lifestyles. That store will be followed by a second in Tucson. Ike’s was named for Bashas’ co-founder Ike Basha, the late father of Bashas’ vice chairman, Johnny Basha.
