Million Dollar Baby Aptly Named
We don’t go out to movies very often. Don’t really know why. Guess we like to watch older ones in the comfort of our home.
But after watching and reading the reviews of MDM, the temptation was too much. So yesterday afternoon, we went to the matinee at the local theater.
We were challenged about our age. “Are each of you 55 or older?” He wasn’t looking at me!
Which reminds me, just this morning someone referred to the BW as my sister! But that’s another story.
Anyway, we didn’t have to show ID’s or anything, and we got the senior rate. Lucky us. $5.50 each! But that’s just the start. I popped for the Big Combo, a large drink and a large popcorn. $8.50! Not much left of a twenty dollar bill.
The movie? I would rate it 4 out of 5.
Surprising to me that it was nominated for seven Oscars.
